Cold Grip are a young but hardworking and promising band from the Netherlands releasing their first and already a full length record ‘Birth Of The Black Lotus’ full of raw but yet melodic hardcore. Life’s challenges can be daunting and everyone experiences some hurdles during their journey. Hardcore has always been a way for Cold Grip to cope with this everchanging voyage and that’s exactly what they strive to do: to let you know that you’re never alone, even when life seems to be falling apart. Their first full-length album, birth of the black lotus, is inspired by the lifecycle of the lotus flower. How it has to rise from barren soil until it reaches the water surface and can bloom into the gracious flower we all know. As humans, we all experience hardship in some kind of way and this album is their way of letting you know that you’re not alone.
